After the catastrophic summoning of the Oracle, the Agency declared itself on lock down. Agents Kellsen Howler and Shamus were dispatched to find their teammates Big Bear and Kiera and bring them back to HQ.
On their return to the Agency, the group was accosted by the severed head of Wally Lam, who accused them of betraying his whereabouts during Operation Prometheus. This OPSEC failure allowed Joan the Scarlet Witch to find Wally and, using her expertise in torture and mutilation, twist him into hunting down the Agents responsible.
Joan considered turning the Agents over to Raziel the Fallen but, generous soul that she is, she offered them an alternative to being brutally dismembered. All they had to do was simply take the Angelic Flute deep into the Necropolis, play it once and then leave it behind. After collecting standard insurance information (some blood, hair, saliva, and a pinky finger), Joan dropped the agents off at the Necropolis with a blood-eyed Dire Crow as their guide.
As they made their way past an undead funeral for the fallen heroes of Lustrum Falls, Kellsen managed to tip off Spike that something unusual was afoot. He was advised to follow along to see what came of Joan’s plan.
The Crow led the agents through a secret entrance to Necropolis’s underground gymnasium. There the agents did battle on the court with Leon the Hammer, fed a basketball to a shark, talked shop with a naked Death Knight, and practiced darts on a necromancer.
After descending a series of tunnels the Agents found themselves in a small room lined with soul jars and pictures of Spike and Zombie King Zeke. The agents blew the whistle, and the resulting shockwave of energy unintentionally drew the attention of the great burrowing undead warforge Boneshaker. It burst through the room’s floor narrowly missing the Crow, who fell to the floor minus his left wing.
The Agents set about brutally incapacitating the pain-maddened Crow, while he desperately fought back with his laser shooting eyeballs. After ditching the Angelic Flute down a wormhole and feeding Boneshaker something very disagreeable, the exhausted operatives managed to escape the collapsing gymnasium.
Waiting outside was Spike, who impaled the Crow’s soul on a vacant spine for later questioning while he went to calm down the upset Boneshaker. Before he left, he gave Kellsen a special card in case of a Joan related emergency.
